About 3 Wave Studio

Creative Design Inspired while Kayaking

Kayaking Maruia Falls The 3 Wave Creative Design Studio is located in Fayetteville, West Virginia: "Gateway to the New River Gorge" and home to "America's Best White Water!" This studio is operated by Chad Foreman and is a "One-man-band" operation. The term "we" is commonly used to represent a collaborative effort between you, the client, myself, the developer and other creative people.

In 1997 I moved from Columbus, Ohio to Fayetteville, West Virginia on a quest to become a white water rafting guide. During raft guide training I developed a strong interest in white water kayaking and have been paddling ever since.

3 Wave Studio is named for two particular kayak surf spots on the New River. One is called "Ender Waves" and it is located in the New River Gorge, upstream of the famous Keenies Creek Rapids. This particular location provides hours of endless kayak surf opportunities at a variety of different river levels. At one particular "Golden Level of Surf Opportunity" Ender waves forms three perfectly-shaped waves with a steep, glassy face and a beautifully-retentive foam pile.

Another location that 3 Wave Studio is named for is also on the New River on a section called The New River Dries. This is a magical location that only develops at very, very high river levels. The three waves that form are MASSIVE in size and strength. When they are in they attract kayakers and spectators from across the United States! You don't know what fun is until you've surfed the New River Dries Put-in-Waves!

The Fun and Inspiration I have gained from these and other kayaking surf spots have influenced the name of my individual Web, Graphic, Logo, Creative Design Studio! For as much as those waves have given me and so many other kayakers, naming this design studio after them is the least I can do to pay them back.

White Water Kayaking has become more than a passion and a lifestyle for many of the residents of Fayetteville, West Virginia, it has become a way of life. That is really an understatement. Kayaking is a spiritual practice.
