Web Site Design Goals:
Practical, Extensible, Easy to Navigate, Visually appealing

Catalina Scuba Luv
Catalina Scuba Luv is the coolest scuba shop on Catalina Island. Family owned, they offer unparalleled customer service.
While visiting Catalina Island, California I had the priviledge of working for Catalina Scuba Luv.
This site is a static, 20 page site. Most of their traffic is under water so a static page web site was enough to fit the bill.
I still maintain this site for them. You can visit it here: www.ScubaLuv.biz
Hard Rock Climbing
Hard Rock Climbing Services is the oldest climbing guide service in Fayetteville, WV. They started it all, right here in the New River Gorge which is now one of the most popular places to rock climb in the Eastern US. Their web site had been around for about as long as they had.
It was time for an upgrade. Besides a visually appealing site, they really wanted a site that was easy to navigate. With the large variety of rock climbing trips that they offer, it was very important that their guests be able to find the trip that is most appropriate.
This style of portfolio gallery is an effective way to display many portfolio items. The viewer can choose which one to look at by clicking and going to that particular portfolio item's own page.
Atlatl Design
Atlatl Design specializes in Industrial Design and is a small studio in Columbus, Ohio. Recruiting clients from Florida and Colorado , it is important for Atlatl to have an effective, on-line portfolio to showcase the methodology, capabilities and strengths of this design firm
One of the features of this site include an interactive graphics showcase, built with Macromedia Flash. Another interactive feature on this site is the product portfolio showcase. On this page viewers can hover their mouse over a portfolio thumbnail image to display a larger image in the viewing window.

WV Mountain Divers
When Master SCUBA Instructor Ken Parent needed a web site to inform students and customers about class details, retail and rental equipment as well as upcoming SCUBA trips, 3 Wave Studio went to work.
This site features an embedded Google calendar that Ken can update with classes, trip schedules and other important dates and information. It also features a Scuba Blog where divers can tell other divers about great dive adventures.

Urban Art Series
The Urban Art Series is part of a non-profit group dedicated to enriching the art community of Central Ohio by bringing
artists together for community functions.
Their site is designed to give the artists information on upcoming events, provide them with entry forms
that are downloadable in PDF
format, and to display meeting times and other information important to the art shows.

Evans and Co Realty
Evans And Co Realty were my first web site client. They needed a web site and a new logo.
When Evans and Company Real Estate needed a web site, simplicity was the name of the game. Too many realor's web sites can be so cluttered that you can't even find the houses they are trying to market.
*The following web sites have either been redesigned by other web designers while I was working for other clients. Nevertheless, they are still part of my experience

Huge Kayaking
David Hughes, director of the New River Academy, needed a web site, that site needed to be big, bold, powerful, strong, functional and effective.
Site Features include an embedded video player. Students and staff can add videos to the site simply by uploading them to YouTube.
Newest Feature: Content Management System
Recently added is a Content Mangement System news portal, powered by Drupal.
I designed them a custom-built Joomla template which you see here.
State Fair of West Virginia
In 2007 I was approached by Marlene, the manager of the State Fair of West Virginia. This was a big opportunity for me. It was my biggest web site yet.
They needed a site that they could update themselves in order to accomodate the changing, year-round needs of the fair.
A couple years later they were ready for a change in the look of the template. Unfortunately I was too busy working on a 10-chapter promotional DVD. That project demanded all of my time and attention. Unfortunately I couldn't make the changes needed for the web site and the work went to another web designer.

Pro Fish West Virginia
Bobby Bower took his love of fishing and river guiding and turned them in to a small business. He has been a raft guide and fishing guide on the New and Gauley Rivers of West Virginia for quite some time. Then he decided to run fishing trips with his own style. So he started his own commercial fishing outfitter.
When Bobby approached me, he needed a web site and a logo. This site also features a custom-designed Joomla template, complete with rollover buttons and a slide show.
Bobby can update this site himself as well by adding pages, pictures, links and text.
